"GBV is a human rights abuse, and a manifestation of structural gender inequalities. Breaking the culture of silence around it gives victims a safe space to be heard and heal, and allows to hold offenders accountable."
I have been actively involved as a volunteer for eGirl Power since February 2023, contributing to the organization's mission as a member of the StopGBV Executive Team. My dedication lies in advocating for marginalized groups, promoting social justice, and fostering equity.
Drawing from my professional background, I have spent three years serving as a Primary Care Physician at a One Stop GBV Center in Rwanda, located in East Africa. This experience has provided me with invaluable insights into the realities and complexities of addressing gender-based violence within communities.
I am enthusiastic about leveraging my knowledge, skills, and passion to contribute to the impactful work of eGirl Power's StopGBV program and drive positive change in combating gender-based violence.
In my free time, I enjoy running, gardening, and reading. They're my go-to activities for relaxation and personal growth. I also love traveling to explore new cultures and broaden my horizons.
