Howard Gardner is Hobbs Professor of Cognition and Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He presented the theory of multiple intelligences for the first time in 1983 in the book Frames of Mind. What is GBV?

Gender-based Violence (GBV) describes the many forms of gender-based misconduct that occur in different contexts, including negative behaviors directed at an individual based on their gender or sex as well as behaviors that are sexual in nature. The definition covers a wide range of misconduct— verbal and physical actions, sexual harassment, sexual assault, rape and other forms of abusive behavior.

eGirl Power's #StandUpToGBV program goals are to "Educate, Empower and Elevate" students impacted by GBV to unite in efforts to #StandUpToGBV with a focus on campus safety at colleges and universities.
